Witnessing the power and drama at Cape Disappointment

Many thanks to Long Beach photographer Jane Webb for sharing these dramatic and inspiring images from her April 6 trip to Cape Disappointment State Park and Waikiki Beach. The crashing surf, where the Pacific Ocean meets the mouth of the Columbia River, is some of the most breathtaking — and deadly — waters in the world. It's a wonderful place to photograph the raw power and beauty of nature at work — at a safe distance of course!
